Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport our representative will welcome you and assist you to get transferred to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is approximately 105 kms and it may take 3 hours to reach. It is at an altitude elevation of 2045 mts. Darjeeling is the land of panoramic beauty and it is rewarded by the majestic Himalayas. “The Queens of Hill stations “ is Darjeeling. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railways is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After reaching Darjeeling, check in the hotel. Leisure for the rest of the day. You can visit the nearby areas and meet the local people and do shopping. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2: Darjeeling
Today early in the morning, proceed towards the Tiger Hill, this is the highest point of Darjeeling. You can view the sunrise of the Kanchenjunga and the snow capped peaks. On the way you can visit the Ghoom Monastery. This Monastery was established in 1875 by GhoomGompa. Back to hotel for breakfast and rest for a while in the hotel. Later in the day is to tour the city. Visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoo. This Zoo is located at an altitude of 2133 mts above the sea level. You can find the Black Bear, llama, Siberian Tiger, mountain leopard and many more. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(HMI), it is built in the memorial to Tenzing.HMI is the oldest mountaineering institutes in the country. You can also take part in the Darjeeling Ropeway. You can view the breathtaking view of the valley below. One need to visit the Peace Pagoda, it was built under the supervision of NichidatsuFujji. At the Peace Pagoda you will find the four avatars of Lord Budda. Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, this was built in 1959 for the rehabilitation of Tibetans. Back to hotel and free for rest of the day. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3: Kalimpong
Early in the morning a drive to Kalimpong. It is located at an altitude elevation of 1,250 mts. Kalimpong amidst the plains of the Dooars and the hills of Darjeeling - Sikkim Himalayas. It is cuddle in the lush green ranges of the Himalayas and snow covered peaks.Kalimpong is well known for the educational institutions.This glamours town of beautiful people, occult and fascinating with a different cultureof the hill people. Upon reaching Kalimpong, check-in the hotel and rest for a while and set out for the sightseeing. Visit Deolo Hill, this hill is the highest point of Kalimpong town, 1,704 mtr above the sea level. You can view the panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Kalimpongtownship and Durpin hill from this point. You can pay a visit to the Dr.Graham’s Homes. Army Glod club, is a beautiful golf course. You can have a beautiful view of the mountains from here. Visit the Pine view nursery, it has agreat collection of ornamental and cactus plants.MangalDham is the beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. This temple was built in the memory of Late GurujiMangal.Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4: Kalimpong to Pelling
Morning after breakfast, a drive to Pelling.Pelling is renowned for panoramic views of the snow covered Kanchenjunga range. Kanchenjunga range is the third highest peak in the world. The weather conditions at Pelling are unpredictable. The weather changes from bright and sunny to clouded and gloomy within minutes.Pelling is the best location for tourist destination due to its picturesque location and very close to the third highest mountain Mt. Kanchenjunga. The main advantage of this place is you can view other snow covered peaks from here.Upon arrival check in the hotel and rest for the day.Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 5: Pelling
In the morning after breakfast, set out for sightseeing of Pelling. The land throughout Pelling is still maiden territory and is soaked with alpine vegetation. In winter, you see the Pelling is capped with a blanket of snow. Sightseeing at PellingarePemayangtse Monastery, this is founded in 1705 and it is the oldest and most important monasteries in Sikkim. You can visit the SangaChoeling Monastery,if you want to view the great Mt.Kanchenjunga.Visit one of the holy lakes of Sikkim, KhecheoplariTsho. This lake is hidden in the rich forest cover. There isa believe that the birds do not allow single leaf to float on the Khecheoplari lake surface.Visit the Rabdentse Ruins, the breathtaking view of the deep valley to the magical heights of Kangchenjunga range. Visit the world’s highest statue of Guru Padmasambhava. This statute is located on Samdruptse hill opposite Namchi.If you want to enjoy trekking you can visit the Ravangla. Along with trekking you would enjoy the nature and mountains. You can view the breathtaking view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. You can also visit Rinchenpong and Gangtok.Back to the hotel and rest for the day. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6: Gangtok
After breakfast in the morning, journey to Gangtok.Gangtok is the popular tourist spot for many of the nature lover, honeymooners and trekkers. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim. It is at an altitude elevation of 5500 ft. You can view the Mt. Khangchendzonga. At Gangtok enjoy the beautiful, calm and panoramic views. Upon arrival check-in the hotel and rest for a while. Set out for the sightseeing of Gangtok. You can visit the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom. It is the museum of many different handicrafts that are created by the local craftsmen.Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is one of the renowned global centre for the study of Buddhist philosophy. One must visit the Enchey Monastery. It is the one of the oldest monasteries around. Visit the famous Orchid Sanctuary. You will find the varies collection of orchid at this sanctuary. Do Dual is the biggest stupa in Sikkim. Visit the White Hill, this is the permanent venue for the flower show that is held in Sikkim. At the flower show you can see different kinds of orchids and rhododendrons. In the evening visit the nearby mall for shopping and enjoy the celebration like atmosphere at the mall. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Lachung
Early in the morning after breakfast, proceed towards Lachung, the beautiful mountain village. It is located at the height of 8610ft, surrounded by snow covered mountain peaks, apple orchards, panoramic waterfalls and glowing streams. On the way visit the Tashi view point in the North Sikkim, you can view the beautiful view of Mt.Siniolchu and Mt. Kanchenjunga. This place gives the real pleasure for the scenery and nature lovers. The KabiLungchok is the place of historical and religious.Chungthang is the small town on the junction of theLachung Chu and Lachen Chu from where the Teesta River begins. This place is famous for breathtaking beauty. The Naga waterfalls lies between the Lachung and Yumthang valleys. The beautiful view of the snow covered mountains all around. You may reach Lachung in the evening, complete the check-in formalities. In the evening at leisure time stroll around the village.Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 8: Yumthang
Proceed toward Yumthang after breakfast in the morning.Yumthang is popularly known as “Valley of Flowers”, it is located at a height of 11800 feet.The beautiful flora and fauna and panoramic scenic beauty of the village. During spring the flowers like rhododendrons and primulas moisten the landscape in rich colours. The hot springs here are known for their healing value. In the winter season you can view the beautiful scenes of the mountains. On the way to the valley you can view the gush of waterfalls and streams.Back to the resort. Later, of the day set out to view Cottage industry, Waterfalls and LachungMonastery,this monastery is known for the renowned mask dance. Overnight stay in the resort.
Day 9: Gangtok
In the morning after breakfast, back to Gangtok.En route stop at Singhik and Mangan town. These towns are on the north Sikkim highway. At Singhik village you can view the Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu. It is at the height of 5,200 ft.Mangan is at the height of 4000ft, you can have the excellent views of the mountains.Mangan town offers the beautiful scenic views.Upon arrival check in the hotel and rest for a while. In the evening you can visit the local market for shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Early in the morning a trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.Tsomgalake is just 40 kms from Gangtok and it at the height of 3,780m. This lake is oval in shape and the length is one kilometer. For Brahminy duck, this lake is the home. You can view the various flower blooms in the May and August season, Primulas and Rhododendrons. This lake is the resident for Red Panda. Later you can visit the holy Baba Mandir, the holy site for all the people. If possible you can make a visit to the Nathu La pass.Back to Gangtok.Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 11: Gangtok–Siliguri
Today transfer to Bagdogra airport to board the flight for onward journey. Tour ends with sweet memories.
